Azlan Man, the former Chief Minister of Perlis, has been presented in court for the second time in three days, this time for alleged money laundering of MYR1.06 million.

Azlan pleaded not guilty and faces a maximum sentence of 15 years imprisonment and a fine of up to five times the amount involved, or MYR5 million ($1.2 million). The charges are related to transactions that took place between February 2014 and December 2017.
He was also charged with five counts of making false claims for overseas travel expenses amounting to MYR1.185 million, for which he pleaded not guilty. He served as the Perlis Chief Minister from 2013 until 2022.
