Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has announced four days of toll exemptions in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidilfitri, saying the toll exemptions will be from April 19 to 21, and on April 24.

The exemptions will cover 33 highways and all vehicle classes while the public holiday for Aidilfitri is tentatively fixed for April 22, a Saturday though the International Astronomy Centre based in the United Arab Emirates has predicted that the first day of Aidilfitri would fall on April 21 (Friday).

“We hope that this initiative (toll free) will lessen the burden of those who are going back to their respective hometowns for the festivity,” he said on Tuesday (April 17).
