FedEx Express, a leading express transportation company, marked its 50th global anniversary and 30th anniversary in Malaysia with a stunning light show at KL Tower. The KL tower was illuminated in purple and orange, the official colours of FedEx, to commemorate the occasion. Since its inception in 1973, FedEx has grown exponentially, and now employs around 530,000 staff worldwide and delivers 16.5 million packages daily across the globe.

FedEx has expanded its services to include international destinations, and it launched its first international services in Asia and Europe in 1984. The company introduced direct services to customers in Malaysia in 1993 and has continued to expand its services to meet local customer demand. FedEx in Malaysia launched a transpacific next-day service for Penang in 1997 and opened a new facility in Batu Kawan in 2020.
To celebrate the milestone, FedEx organized 50 Days of Caring, where team members across Asia Pacific, Middle East, and Africa volunteered their time and donated items to support local communities. The company also exceeded its goal of helping 50 million people through its FedEx Cares 50 by 50 program.
