Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor, the Chief Minister of Kedah, is receiving praise from Perikatan Nasional (PN), particularly from PAS, for his visionary and capable leadership in politics, according to Zulkifli Ismail, a prominent figure in PAS.
Sanusi’s credibility
Zulkifli, who is also the Deputy Chief of the PAS Ulama Council, stated that his leadership has left PN’s political opponents with no hope of gaining public support in Kedah and other states. Apart from being the Chief Minister, Sanusi also serves as the election director for PAS and PN at the national level. However, he faced legal challenges, including a defamation suit filed by Amanah’s Deputy President, Mahfuz Omar.
Despite concerns over issues such as the ban on gambling, PN Kedah’s Deputy Chairman, M. Marimuthu, believes that his popularity will attract support from non-Muslim voters in the upcoming state election. Zulkifli also praised Sanusi’s progress in Kedah and highlighted his credibility compared to the previous government.
