IJM Land, in collaboration with Nikon, has announced the winners of its inaugural S2 in My Eyes photography contest at Seremban 2, with more than 3,000 entries received from both professional and amateur photographers. The contest aimed to capture the natural surroundings and daily happenings of Seremban 2, a township in the state of Negeri Sembilan, and celebrate its 28th anniversary. The contest offered cash prizes and Nikon products worth up to RM68,000.
Top Three Winners
The top three winners in the Open Category, for those aged 18 and above, were Chua Bing Guan, Joseph Yong Thiam Woon, and Hazize bin San, each receiving a cash prize of RM3,000, a Nikon Z fc mirrorless classic camera with NIKKOR Z 28mm f/2.8 lens, and a certificate. In addition, the five consolation prize winners received RM1,000, a SanDisk portable 1TB SSD card, and a certificate.
In the Student Category, for those aged 18 and below, the top three winners were Lee Xuan, Afiq bin Sharkawi, and Muhammad Aisar Hafiz bin Abdul Hafiz, each receiving a cash prize of RM1,500, a Nikon Z 30 Mirrorless camera with NIKKOR Z DX 16-50mm f/3.5-6.3 VR lens, a SmallRig Tripod, and a certificate. The five consolation prize winners received RM800, a 1TB SanDisk portable SSD card, and a certificate.
Winning Photography
The winning images focused on the four-acre lake at the center of Seremban 2, highlighting the tranquility and peacefulness of the township. Participants also captured the township’s holistic elements, including lifestyle, work, recreation, people, and nature. IJM Land plans to launch the IJM Land Seremban 2 Young Photography Club to engage with local residents.
According to Chai Kian Soon, Senior General Manager of IJM Land, the contest was designed to allow creativity to flourish like the green topography in Seremban 2. Dato’ Billy Lai, Business Development Director of Futuromic Photo AV Sdn Bhd, added that the contest aimed to capture the natural beauty and people that inhabit Seremban 2, which will serve to document the intimate details of what it’s like to live here harmoniously.
