Sarawak Parties Alliance (GPS), an ally of Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim’s administration, has denied allegations of attempting to overthrow the unity government. Fadillah Yusof, GPS’s parliamentary whip and deputy prime minister, stated that they fully support the unity government’s efforts to revive Malaysia’s economy.

He quoted Sarawak’s Chief Minister, Abang Johari Openg, who emphasized the need for a stable and strong government to put Malaysia back on track. Fadillah refused to comment on rumors of any movements to overthrow Anwar, stating that he does not want to comment on something that is not credible.
MCA President Wee Ka Siong also denied allegations of collaborating with PN to plot a conspiracy to overthrow Anwar’s administration. Wee described the report as baseless and nonsensical. Previous reports claimed that PN was trying to persuade BN MPs to resign to pave the way for by-elections, with the goal of forming a new government with the help of MPs from Sabah and Sarawak, and making Muhyiddin Yassin prime minister again.
However, Bersatu Deputy President Ahmad Faizal Azumu denied these claims, stating that there were no discussions within Bersatu and PN to overthrow the prime minister as reported.
