PM Anwar Ibrahim says the government is careful in implementing the reform agenda related to human rights issues, in order to avoid making political mistakes.

Unlike some who think their mission is already accomplished when Anwar became PM, they start to criticise to gain popularity. Nevertheless, Anwar says examining legislation before implementing the reform agenda will take time. He also called on the human rights group SUARAM to be more objective in criticizing the government and give time for the reform process.

This comes after the group’s attack against the Prime Minister for supposedly not implementing changes and amendments related to the reform agenda. The movement has already made clear its intent to label Anwar as the “worst Prime Minister of Malaysia” if he does not act, while Suaram leaders sit on their bench, doing nothing.
