CelcomDigi terminates SSA with DNB to pursue new 5G opportunities

CelcomDigi Bhd announced yesterday that the termination of the share subscription agreement (SSA) signed in November 2022 with Digital Nasional Bhd (DNB) will allow it to participate in any new processes, including equity participation, with the industry. 

CelcomDigi’s new 5G subscription agreement? 

The mobile network operator said in a statement that the announcement by Communications and Digital Minister Fahmi Fadzil on the government’s decision to implement 5G under two networks once 80% 5G coverage of populated areas (CoPA) had been achieved by DNB yesterday was welcome.

CelcomDigi also assured its customers that the process would not affect its 5G services. Customers who currently use 5G connections can continue to enjoy the service based on ongoing product offerings.
