It appears that Luno is getting a massive backlash among the crypto community members in Malaysia. One prominent Bitcoin Twitter account named Bitcoin Malaya states that the platform is now charging users at least RM100+ for them to transfer funds to a competing wallet.
Luno getting backlash for charging more money
The Twitter account states that previously, it was a lot cheaper for one to transfer money to another wallet. It would cost users an approximate of RM142 to transfer their cryptocurrency to Binance, as an example. However, it appears that if you’d want to transfer money from Luno to your standard bank account, the charges would relatively be the same.
Other users state that they would not use their services anymore. However, the original poster states that all crypto platforms in Malaysia are unfortunately going through the same thing. There are those that state they typically convert their currencies to Ripple and then transfer to another platform as it is always cheaper to do that.
