In conjunction with the Kaamatan and Gawai Festivals, a maximum of 17,708 one-way flight tickets from Peninsular Malaysia to Sabah or Sarawak are being offered at a special price of up to RM300.

Flights to Sabah Sarawak capped to RM300

All domestic airlines are participating in this initiative, with discounted prices available for travel to Sabah on May 27, 28, and 29, and to Sarawak on May 29, 30, and 31. Transport Minister Anthony Loke announced that the government purchased these tickets from the airlines and is selling them at a maximum discounted price of RM300.

This pilot project aims to address the issue of high flight ticket prices during festive seasons. Loke further mentioned that the subsidized tickets are protected under the Malaysian Aviation Consumer Protection Code 2016 (MACPC).
