There are netizens who claim that their friends actually inform the staff at Starbucks that their name is “babi.” Apparently, this is a running joke for some of the youths in Malaysia.

Another person states that Starbucks frequently misspelled his name as “sins.” It may be unflattering to have such a word on your cup, especially if you consider yourself as a religious person. Furthermore, this story undercovers the vast amount of people who have had their name misspelled before, but did not proceed to the next level with the incident.
One user states that if this incident happened frequently, she should’ve used another name as an alias. It appears that most netizens are defending the Starbucks staff. Even in our comments section, many state that Ms Bavitra should’ve been more aware and should not have the intentions to sue the beverage company.
