Wong Chen, a member of parliament for Subang, has been selected as the non-executive chairman of Malaysia Debt Ventures (MDV). MDV, a subsidiary of the Ministry of Finance (Incorporated), announced the appointment, effective from May 23.

Given Wong Chen’s vast experience and expertise, MDV expresses confidence that under his leadership, the company will continue advancing the technology and new enterprises in Malaysia for the nation’s benefit. Wong Chen replaces Khairul Azwan Harun, whose term concluded on December 31, 2022. Established in 2002, MDV offers flexible and innovative financing solutions to foster the growth of the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector, prioritized by the government as a driver of national progress.
Additionally, Sim Tze Tzin, a member of parliament for Bayan Baru, has been appointed as the chairman of the Technology Depository Agency (TDA), effective from May 15. TDA oversees the implementation of the Industry Collaboration Program (ICP) in Malaysia, ensuring adherence to prescribed processes and requirements.
