PM Anwar Ibrahim is in a bit of troubled waters over his earlier claims that PN got funding from gambling companies. He also alleged the funding was for the GE15 elections. PN denied these claims vehemently at that time.
Law and Institutional Reform Minister Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said stated that the claim could not be verified. Muhyiddin Yassin now says it is evident that the allegation was “defamatory” and “a lie”. He wants to sue Anwar for that.
Nevertheless, a Twitter clash erupted last week among supporters of PH, highlighting a division between those advocating for Minister of Economy Rafizi Ramli and another faction backing Anwar Ibrahim’s daughter, Nurul Izzah, and son-in-law, Yin Shao Loong. With these two elements, PN Judi funding and strife among PH supporters now poking their heads, time is a bit harder for Anwar.
