Zakir Naik and his lawsuits

Both Zakir Naik and Satees, accompanied by their respective lawyers, attended the proceedings. According to the terms of the consent judgment, the civil case has been conclusively settled without any admission of liability or costs being awarded. The lawsuit arose in 2019 when Zakir filed a complaint against Satees regarding two online statements.

One statement concerned the extensive crackdown on the armed group Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE), while the other statement related to Zakir’s lecture in Kota Bharu, Kelantan, during the same year.

This is merely days after the high court ordered Charles Santiago to apologize to the preacher for what he said about him. Furthermore, it appears that netizens agree with this sentiment, some are even stating that a public apology is needed.
