Zainul Rijal Abu Bakar, the lawyer for the child’s mother, emphasized the importance of adhering to the court’s decision and refraining from making any statements related to the case in the media. Similarly, Bastian Pius Vendargon, the lawyer representing the child’s father, agreed to the gag order and advised the media to seek clarification from the court registrar’s office regarding coverage of the proceedings.
The court has explicitly stated that no reporting of today’s proceedings is permitted, as it pertains to an appointment notice. Previously, a viral video showed the child being separated from his mother following the High Court’s ruling, which favored the father in the child’s habeas corpus case.
