What does the construction of a highway have to do with the B40 community in Malaysia? As weird as it sounds, the concessionaire of the PJD Link says it will benefit lower-income communities in PJ by improving connectivity and accessibility in the Greater Klang Valley.

PJD Link CEO Amrish Hari Narayanan says the construction of the PJD Link is projected to generate significant economic output, create jobs, and provide opportunities for local businesses. A PWC report says the project will generate RM31 bil in economic output while opening up 12,000 jobs annually throughout the construction period.

However, a recent independent survey revealed that a majority (93%) of individuals residing along the proposed highway expressed their disagreement with the project.
