PAS Commissioner Fauzi Yusoff appears very confident that PAS is winning all 10 contested seats in Penang. “We want a 10-0 victory… we don’t want to be overconfident, but we are working diligently. By the 12th, we will ensure that the people mandate all our candidates,” says the commissioner to reporters after PN announced its candidates last night.

In the last elections in Penang, PAS won only one seat but its chances are now boosted with the massive defections from Umno. The defectors have joined the Bersatu which is in alliance with PAS. However, Gerakan and Bersatu have obtained more seats to contest in the upcoming PRN.
