Manchester City has made a substantial bid, over €50 million (£42.7 million), for Wolves’ midfielder Matheus Nunes. Bernardo Silva extended his contract until 2026, dispelling transfer rumors, while Aymeric Laporte bid farewell.
Bidding war for Matheus Nunes
Nunes’ personal terms were agreed upon, and he joined Wolves from Sporting for £38 million just over a year ago. Laporte announced his departure in a social media video, likely joining Al-Nassr after five and a half years at City.
Laporte leaves after 180 appearances and 13 trophies, including five Premier League titles and last season’s Champions League. His reduced playing time and the arrival of Josko Gvardiol pushed him down the pecking order.
