The Indian Community now represents only 6.6% of the Malaysian population according to the latest stats resulting from a census done by the Malaysian Department of Statistics. Before 2020, the number was 7.3% (2010) but it dropped to 6.7% in 2020. Focus Malaysia today says one of the possible root cause could be the marriage dilemma.
