Selangor Chief Minister Amirudin Shari has initiated a civil lawsuit against Kedah Chief Minister Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor. This legal action follows allegations by Sanusi, made during a political campaign, in which he associated Amirudin with businessman Vincent Tan regarding a scandal linked to the Sungai Klang river cleaning project.

Amirudin’s lawsuit seeks unspecified damages and an injunction to restrain Sanusi from repeating such claims. Sanusi’s legal representative has confirmed the receipt of the lawsuit.
It appears that netizens support the decision on suing the Kedah MB. Many are tired with the allegations thrown towards those in the unity government. For the opposition party to be taken more seriously, they should behave in accordance with the principles of politics.
