The Ministry of Domestic Trade and Costs of Living says the price of chicken on the market has gone down. And the reduction is at the national level. The Ministry did not say if that includes Sabah and Sarawak since many complained before that the price of chickens, whole and already slaughtered, are higher in Borneo.

Meanwhile, Malaysia on Wednesday lifted a ban on live cattle and buffalo imports from Australia. The ban was imposed after Indonesia said it had detected lumpy skin disease (LSD) in livestock from the country, authorities said. LSD is an infectious viral disease that causes a reduction in milk production, temporary or permanent sterility, and sometimes death of cattle but poses no risk to humans. Malaysia imposed the temporary suspension early last month as a precaution.
