The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) in Kelantan arrested a government employee for allegedly demanding and receiving a bribe of roughly RM45,000. Reports suggest that a man in his thirties is accused of soliciting and accepting a bribe from an individual. 

MACC Nabs public servant in alleged bribery case

This was done in exchange for designating a company as a supplier for a state government department program. He was apprehended at approximately 9:45 AM today at the Kelantan office while providing a statement. 

The suspect, employed in a government department, allegedly received an RM45,000 bribe from the individual. The suspect is also suspected of forging a female officer’s signature to approve the appointment letter as a supplier to deceive the company owner into paying the requested bribe.
