No child left behind, MIROS develops a system to detect children accidentally locked in vehicles. The prototype is a system to detect a child who is accidentally left behind in a locked vehicle called MyCINTA or MIROS Children in Vehicle Tracking and Alerting System.

MyCINTA

The system is developed with the ability to detect the presence of a child in a vehicle using motion and sound sensors when the engine is turned off, and automatically notify the driver or system users and emergency contact person via phone call and short message system (SMS).

The content of the SMS will state the coordinates of the vehicle’s location which is directly connected to a navigational system application (e.g. Google Maps) to ensure that a trapped child is immediately found and rescued.
