Pakatan Harapan has taken an early lead in the two prk in Johor, with a majority of almost 4300 in Pulai where it has for now, 10,171 votes against 5,730 votes for PN. In Simpang Jeram, PH has a lead of more than 2400 with 10.063 for its candidate and 7,682 votes for PN.

The voter turnout was low in the two by-elections due to heavy rain in the region. A low turnout of 42% in Pulai and 56% in Simpang Jeram had been reported by the commission at 4pm partly because of rainy weather in many places.
