The 54-year-old South Korean coach was also satisfied with the performance of his players and thought the draw was good enough for the team.

“It was a very good match against a stronger and higher level Chinese team, we also learned a lot from this match. I am very proud of all the players, what they did tonight (last night) really made Malaysians proud (and ) it should be respected. As a coach, I have no complaints, what they did was great. For our team, it was a very good result,” he said at a press conference after the match at the Phoenix Hill Stadium in Chengdu.
