Dr. Mahathir Mohamad’s recent appointment as an advisor to a Perikatan Nasional-led state coalition has raised suspicions of a political maneuver aimed at undermining Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, according to former Sabah chief minister Salleh Said Keruak.
In a Facebook post, Salleh noted that Mahathir’s unofficial role as an advisor to opposition-led states would be advantageous only if he secured a parliamentary seat and assumed the role of opposition leader.
Mahathir as PM 11?
Netizens vehemently disagree with this idea citing that he is too old and has lost his significance in the country. Furthermore, they state that he has lost his deposits in the previous general elections, he should simply retire from the public space.
