Dr. Mahathir Mohamad’s recent appointment as an advisor to a Perikatan Nasional-led state coalition has raised suspicions of a political maneuver aimed at undermining Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, according to former Sabah chief minister Salleh Said Keruak.
In a Facebook post, Salleh noted that Mahathir’s unofficial role as an advisor to opposition-led states would be advantageous only if he secured a parliamentary seat and assumed the role of opposition leader.
