One of the most common things for a Malaysian to engage themselves in is to go out and eat. However, it should be known that this is fairly common among our neighboring countries as well. Singaporeans and Indonesians are also likely to eat out frequently.
Malaysians spending too much dining out?
Rafizi Ramli, the Minister of Economy states that this is a concerning fact among Malaysians as they are not saving enough due to this. Following that, users respond by saying most husbands and wives are working day jobs, and they are forced to rely on eating out or non home cooked meals.
Other users state that they feel buying outside food is cheaper than eating at home. However, eating at home generally is healthier than dining out. Regardless, inflation is one of the biggest problems the country is facing, and it is affecting food prices whether it is home cooked or not.
