Police have initiated an investigation into the independent preacher, Ebit Irawan Ibrahim Lew, also known as Ebit Lew, in response to a recent police report filed by a woman.
Ebit Lew’s defamation claims prompting police probe
Without disclosing the nature of the reported offense, Assistant Commissioner Siti Kamsiah Hassan, Deputy Director of the Women and Children Sexual Investigation Division (D11) at Bukit Aman, confirmed that an investigation has been launched.
Additionally, police have received a report from the influencer, alleging defamation in a viral video on social media. The investigation is conducted under Sections 500 of the Penal Code and 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998.
