Electoral watchdog Bersih criticized the unity government for undermining fair elections in the lead-up to the Pelangai state polls. They specifically targeted deputy education minister Lim Hui Ying for announcing additional funding for three Pelangai schools during the election period, deeming it contrary to the principles of clean and fair elections.
