PAS will review the Election Judge’s Certificate before deciding on an appeal following the annulment of PN candidate Che Alias Hamid’s win in the Kemaman Parliamentary seat. The decision will be based on the Election Offenses Act 1954, said Secretary-General Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan.
PAS win in Kemaman now invalid
The Election Court canceled Che Alias Hamid’s victory, as reported by the media. High Court Judge Kuala Terengganu cum Election Judge Anselm Charles Fernandis allowed the election petition by BN candidate Wan Mohamad Hisham Wan Abdul Jalil, who alleged inducements during the PRU15 campaign to secure votes for Che Alias.
There are several heavy accusations that are directed to our opposition party. However netizens do believe that PH-BN isn’t strong in the countryside. They feel that the opposition parties have a stronger hold with the rural voters as they claim to be more religious.
