The discussion on minorities rights will always be a topic society talks about. Fannie Lou Hamer, a civil rights activist suffered from all the persecution done to her by the White southern government in America simply because she wanted to exercise her right to vote.

Apparently, on YouTube and other social media platforms, they state that not enough is known about her dedication and sacrifice. It went to the point where Democrat US President, Lyndon B. Johnson tried to silence her by broadcasting a Presidential speech during her testimony on how the Jim Crow South oppressed Black Americans.

Many state that she is arguably one of the greatest Americans who have ever lived. Her story can also be applied to our society today, where discrimination and racism is still alive and well, even among us in Asia. You can read more about her from Wikipedia.
