Arsenal’s Champions League preparations took a hit as severe storms delayed their flight to Lens by nearly five hours. The team was stranded at Luton airport as adverse weather prevented their scheduled 4:15 pm departure.

Eventually, they took off after 9 pm. Mikel Arteta had to cancel media commitments, and the delay disrupted their plans for the away game. UEFA rules mandate pre-match duties by 8 pm local time, but Arsenal won’t face fines this time, as the delay was seen as force majeure.
