Malaysia won two more gold medals at the Asian Games yesterday, bringing our total to 5 with Ng Eain Yow beating India’s Ghosal Saurav in the men’s singles final 9-11, 11-9, 11-5, 11-7. Earlier, S. Sivasangari followed in Datuk Nicol David’s footsteps in becoming the Asian Games squash individual champion.

The Kedah-born player overcame Hong Kong’s Chan Sin Yuk 8-11, 15-13, 10-12, 11-9, 12-10 in an energy-sapping 64-minute encounter in the final at HOC Squash Centre on Thursday (Oct 5). Malaysia now has reached its 27-medal target at this year’s multi-sport tournament in Hangzhou. Success for Hannah Yeoh!
