The Court of Appeal has scheduled July 1, next year, as the hearing date for the appeal of former PKR vice-president Datuk Zuraida Kamaruddin against a high court decision. The high court had ordered her to pay RM10 million to PKR for breaching the bond that bound her to the party.

Judge Datuk Akhtar Tahir ruled in favor of PKR, finding the bond valid and binding. Zuraida was also ordered to cover RM50,000 in legal costs. The suit originated in 2020 when PKR’s secretary-general, Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail, filed the claim, asserting Zuraida had breached the bond’s terms and conditions.
