Datuk Iskandar Dzulkarnain Abdul Khalid (PN-Kuala Kangsar) has announced his support for Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to alleviate the rising cost of living in his constituency. Iskandar, a member of Bersatu, began showing his support today, aiming to ensure Anwar fulfills his promises regarding constituency funding for Members of Parliament.

He emphasized his unwavering loyalty to Bersatu but stated he couldn’t let his constituents suffer due to political differences. Iskandar’s focus is on the nation’s economic recovery until the upcoming general election, aligning with the government’s efforts.
Anwar had previously pledged that allocation funds for parliamentary constituencies of opposition MPs would be provided if the PN bloc negotiated with the government. Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof confirmed that no discussions on constituency allocation funds from the opposition bloc have occurred.
