Additional details have emerged regarding a recent case in Johor Bahru where two Singaporean men and a Malaysian woman are allegedly involved in the attack on a 25-year-old Malaysian man, 25-year-old Xie Zhiyu who worked as an electrician and was the eldest son in his family. The incident occurred outside a KTV nightclub in Taman Sentosa, Johor Bahru, around 3 am on October 27, 2023. The Malaysian man, wearing a black top, attempted to flee but was pursued and assaulted by a man in a white top.

Fatal JB Incident

CCTV footage reveals that the victim ran to a nearby coffee shop and sat on a chair before falling to the ground. He was found with injuries on his chest, stomach, ribs, shoulder, back, fingers, and cheek, according to Johor Bahru South police officer Raub Selamat. Malaysian authorities were trying to locate the suspects when they spotted a “suspicious” Singapore-registered Audi sedan. The vehicle, driven by a Singaporean man with two passengers, including another Singaporean man and a Malaysian woman, attempted to flee when Malaysian police intercepted it. All three occupants were arrested on suspicion of the murder of the Malaysian man in the fatal JB incident.
