The MACC in Sabah apprehended four enforcement officers suspected of taking around RM300,000 in bribes from agents and license applicants. The individuals, all in their thirties, were detained at approximately 4 PM while providing statements at the anti-corruption office in Kota Kinabalu.

Allegedly involved in activities spanning 2021 and 2022, they were accused of accepting bribes through intermediaries to issue driving licenses without the mandated test, commonly termed ‘flying licenses’.
Their method involved soliciting RM400 to RM1,200 from intermediaries per applicant. The case falls under Section 17 (a) of the MACC Act 2009, confirmed by Sabah MACC Director Datuk S Karunanithy.
