Apparently, there is a suggestion to give a “caste system” to the Halal certificates in Malaysia. There are three levels of it, green would mean that it’s 100% owned by a Muslim. Orange is a company that is working together with non-Muslims. Lastly, red, the company is owned by a non-Muslim.
Apparently, this suggestion was circulating around social media and forums for years now. Oddly enough, it is viraled again just recently.
Netizens state that those who are crazed with Korean culture will still rush themselves to purchase food from them. Others add that they do not care who the owners or manufacturers are, as long as said food is produced with the correct religious guidelines.
