Faisal Halim leaves intensive care now

Malaysian footballer Faisal Halim, victim of an acid attack, has left intensive care after surgeries for burns sustained in Petaling Jaya. Known as “Mickey,” he plays for Selangor Football Club and Malaysia. Deputy president of the Selangor Football Association, Shahril Mokhtar, confirmed his transfer to a normal ward, describing his condition as stable.

The attack follows incidents involving other national team players: Akhyar Rashid injured in a robbery, and former skipper Safiq Rahim threatened with a hammer. The motive for these assaults remains unclear. The incidents have rattled Malaysia, with police investigations ongoing amidst security concerns in the football community.
