New: Fiery brawl between Mexico’s street performers captured on videos

In Morelia, Mexico, a violent altercation erupted between street performers when a group of mariachis attacked a flame-swallower. Security camera footage showed the mariachis initially overpowering the flame-swallower, but the situation quickly escalated. The flame-swallower doused the mariachis with flammable liquid, setting them on fire.

The mariachis, some with their clothing in flames, fled and extinguished themselves. The fierce competition for tips among street performers in Mexico often leads to such disputes. Police reported that no arrests were made, and only the flame-swallower required hospital treatment following the incident .
