Kuala Lumpur’s Sin Li Jane made history as Malaysia’s first champion at the US Women’s Open in Indianapolis, defeating Diana Zavjalova 226-214 in the final.
The 32-year-old bowler also became only the second Asian to win the prestigious tournament since its inception in 1949, following Japan’s Shinobu Saitoh in 1982. She earned US$60,000 (RM282,900), a championship jacket, and trophy for her victory.
