The opening of Malaysia’s first Apple store, Apple The Exchange TRX, received an overwhelming response from Malaysians today. Early customers entering the store were pleasantly surprised with a special tote bag from Apple.
However, some individuals who had lined up at The Exchange TRX shopping mall since Friday night took to reselling the gift bags. A survey by the local Malay language portal found that these bags were being resold for up to RM1,000 on Facebook Marketplace. On Carousell, the free tote bags were listed for resale at prices ranging from RM200 to RM500.
