Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) is set to revolutionise travel between Kuala Lumpur and Ipoh with its new express train service. Starting August 1, passengers can make the journey in just two hours, thanks to the upgraded Electric Train Service (ETS).
Previously, the trip took three hours, but the new service will significantly reduce travel time by an hour. KTMB Operations Chief, Mohd Zain Mat Taha, also announced that travel times from Kuala Lumpur to Butterworth and Padang Besar will be cut by 45 minutes.
The move aligns with the ongoing Klang Valley Double Track project, enhancing connectivity and drawing more tourists to Ipoh.
