Authorities in Indonesia detained 103 foreign nationals from China, Taiwan, and Malaysia for alleged cybercrime and visa violations. The arrests took place during a surprise inspection on June 26 at Villa Haty Indah in Bali. The operation, led by Tabanan police, uncovered 2,500 mobile phones and hundreds of computers.
Initial interrogation revealed 14 Taiwanese citizens and the rest from China and Malaysia. Photos showed the detainees lying outside the villa, now held at a Denpasar detention center. Immigration officials suspect document and permit misuse, with potential cybercrime activities under investigation. The villa is owned by a Turkish national, Bob, and managed by his girlfriend, Asdianti.
