People should make peace, not war
M. Indira Gandhi’s civil court action to compel the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) and the police to arrest her ex-husband, Muhammad Riduan Abdullah, and recover her daughter, Prasana Diksa, was dismissed by the Kuala Lumpur High Court.
The court ruled that the police have been actively trying to track down Riduan since he fled with Prasana in 2009. Judicial Commissioner Raja Ahmad Mohzanuddin Shah Raja Mohzan stated there was no evidence of malice or bad faith by the police. Riduan, formerly K. Pathmanathan, is rumored to be in southern Thailand. The court concluded the police acted within their discretion.
