Anwar: Ceasefire Achieved in Historic Malaysia-Brokered Talks
Malaysia successfully brokered a ceasefire between the two nations following a special meeting in Putrajaya on July 28, chaired by Anwar as ASEAN Chair. Cambodian and Thai defence ministers will soon meet in Kuala Lumpur for further talks.
Anwar expressed pride in Malaysia’s role as a neutral facilitator and noted international recognition from global leaders including Donald Trump and Xi Jinping. A General Border Committee meeting is also planned as part of the truce process.
