A PKR lawmaker, Pasir Gudang MP Hassan Karim, has insisted on speaking his mind, saying he is unperturbed at being ousted from the party and has nothing to lose so he will not be silenced by criticism when things are not right. “I have no strength, no position. If I were to be ousted, the party would not lose anything, as they could just replace me with someone else. What choice do I have? I am already old. I cannot just agree and bow down.,” he says.

Hassan Karim on Anwar
“If I am to be sacked, then so be it. I will just change my clothes from being an MP to being a lawyer and go to court. PKR is a reformation party. It celebrates the freedom of speech, especially with Anwar as the president. I do not know how things will be when someone else is president, but Anwar is a person who respects and accepts criticism. I am not afraid to say all this because I trust Anwar. Even amid people criticising me, he is still in contact with me,” Hassan Karim says.
