Malaysia and Singapore Now Reopen Talks on Long-Standing Issues

Malaysia and Singapore are reopening discussions on long-standing issues such as water supply, maritime delimitation, and airspace. Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim emphasized a holistic approach to ensure a win-win settlement.

The discussions also include Sarawak’s energy export to Peninsular Malaysia and Singapore. Anwar and Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong agreed on quarterly meetings to expedite resolutions.

They also addressed the Flight Information Region (FIR) to ensure connectivity and performance. Both leaders acknowledged the complexity of these issues and committed to constructive discussions.
