In Singapore, a 22-year-old man was sentenced to six months’ jail on June 13, 2025, for attacking his parents after they refused to give him $5,000. On April 14, he punched his 59-year-old father’s shoulder and back, then struck his 60-year-old mother’s ear while grabbing her shirt. Breaching a protection order, he threatened to beat them to death and jump off a building. The unemployed man, living with his parents, was arrested on April 21. Despite expressing remorse and pleading for leniency, his actions violated court orders, leading to his conviction for criminal intimidation and assault. #relationships
