Faiz Na’aman, a recent PKR recruit, publicly criticized deputy president Rafizi Ramli for his divisive remarks, accusing him of mimicking former premier Mahathir Mohamad’s “holier-than-thou” attitude. In a fiery Facebook post, Faiz, previously a Bersatu supreme council member, slammed Rafizi for labeling PKR newcomers as power-hungry opportunists, dismissing their reformist zeal. Faiz argued that ambition drives party growth and questioned Rafizi’s own rise through challenging party veterans. Drawing parallels with Mahathir’s tactics of undermining rivals in Umno and Bersatu, Faiz warned that Rafizi’s intellectual superiority complex risks alienating members and stifling PKR’s dynamism, urging a more inclusive approach.
